Course is 5.1 miles of mostly singletrack.  This years' course will be kinder, gentler and a bit longer than the 2009 Kirkwood 9 to 5.  The first half will be the same, but we'll elimnate the technical sections below Red Cliffs and bring the riders down to the parking lot near the Kirkwood Power Generating Station.  The course then veers right, goes behind the playground and crosses the meadow.  Course then crosses Kirkwood Meadows Drive, passes through the neighborhood and then gets onto Dangberg Trail which brings the riders back behind Mountain Village and back to the Start/Finish. 

 HOW DOES AN ENDURANCE RACE WORK? It's simple - ride as many laps as you can between the start and the finish of the race. This one starts at 9am and goes until 5pm. Only laps COMPLETED by 5pm will count. In the event of a tie, whoever completed that final lap first takes it. For teams, only one rider can be on the course at a time and all rider changes must take place at the transition area near the finish line. Teams are free to rotate riders however they wish; there are no minimum number of laps per rider - you can do one lap at a time, two at a time or whatever you want.
