Race Description:  The triathlon is a annual event sponsored by the Reno Area Triathlon club to benefit local organizations and charities.  The Southwest Region of USAT is sponsoring a series of developmental sprint races to encourage youth (ages 13-15) and juniors (ages 16-19) athletes to participate in triathlons. PLST is proud to be part of this race series.

Course Description: 

Swim:  65-75° expected water temperature; wetsuits recommended.

 (1) .5 mile loop

Bike:  14 Miles - Flat and fairly fast with a few rolling hills.

Course goes north State Route 445 to the half way turnaround , then heads south back to the Marina.

Run:  Flat and Fast. Loop course goes south of the Marina via pavement and an old railroad grade.  Sprint Distance:  One 3 mile loop

The Southwest Region of USAT is sponsoring a series of developmental sprint races to encourage youth (13-15) and juniors (16-19) athletes to participate in triathlon.  Ages are determined by USAT rules (Age as of Dec 31st).  Each event winner will receive an award provided by the region, as well as ranking points.  The last event of the season will crown the series champions.  PLST is proud to be part of this race series.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ANNUAL USAT LICENSE, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PURCHASE A ONE DAY LICENSE NOW WHILE SIGNING UP FOR THE RACE.  THIS IS TO ENSURE A QUICK AND EASY RACE PACKET PICKUP AND WILL HELP TO SAVE ALL INVOLVED A LOT OF TIME.  YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST A ONE DAY USAT LICENSE IN ORDER TO COMPETE IN THE PYRAMID LAKE SPRINT TRIATHLON.

Fees go up on 7/2:  Individual $80, Relay, $180, Collegiate $60, Junior $50, fees for Individuals during packet pickup $90 and $190 for Relay, fees day of race for Individuals $95 and $200 for Relay.
